Hiring Customs Specialist in Zanjan

Job Description

• The incumbent will be coordinating the Customs tasks and supporting Customs manager for all customs related activities in the country.

The Incumbent is responsible for

• Adjustment and preparing the draft of Import declarations.
• Issue Customs Declarations in Zanjan.
• Doing all Customs related tasks like Settlement with the exit door, final pay slip of goods departure and Weight difference control
• The follow-up on more or less Value and weight deduction, attend in the related commission.
• Follow up on all types of demand letters.
• Follow-ups related to the standard office and obtaining standard permission.
• Follow-ups related to determining the nature and inspection and the laboratory.
• Referral and communication with industry and mining Organization in Zanjan and other required organizations and be present in the meetings.
• Correspondence with virtual experts and answering to requested items in EPL System.
• Review, evaluate and monitor all customs rejections, disputes, bank commitment removal requests, and any correspondences related to Iran Customs regulations changes and any Customs cases (Mainly Djulfa customs), and share with Customs Manager on a timely manner through a meaningful report, throughout the year. Escalate all matters that requires strategic input and present solutions to such matters and to take part in customs affair committees if needed.
• Ensure customs clearance of goods is done on timely and accurate manner in line with factory requirements, this will be achieved through close coordination with Importation, Factory and Customs offices, throughout the year.
• Take safety measures into consideration while attending meetings, visiting governmental organization.
• Monitor and supervise Customs’ related tasks in Zanjan and give timely feedbacks and weekly reports to Customs Manager.
• Promote one Team spirit and collaboration, support Customs manager, Global Tax Director and Tax peers where and when needed to achieve their objectives, this would include ensuring that the importance of the customs function is visible in the business, which will assist in facilitating the one team spirit.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in Customs areas
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position in the industry (Multinational FMCG organization) with in depth knowledge of local Customs regulations in the country.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal skills
• Customs law and regulation knowledge/ Good at computer skills and reporting/ a very good team player/ Flexible/ Time management/ People Management/ a good communicator.
